Connecting People

Where appropriate, we create opportunities for churches, charities, community organisations and public services to build relationships, share what they are seeing and discover where they can work together.

Strengthening Local Action

We support churches and community groups to turn good ideas into sustainable action through facilitation, training, resources, partnership-building and practical support.

Building Collaboration

We help develop local church networks and partnerships where knowledge, resources and responsibility can be shared – reducing duplication and enabling people to achieve more together.

Rather than arriving with a ready-made programme, our Development Workers spend time listening, connecting and working alongside local churches and communities.

Supporting churches and community organisations to connect, collaborate and respond creatively to the opportunities and challenges locally.

Churches at the Heart of their Communities

Churches are extraordinary community assets.

They are made up of people who live locally, know their neighbours and often remain present in communities for generations. Churches provide places of welcome, friendship, practical help, children and youth activities, community meals, groups, volunteering opportunities and much more.

Together Norfolk exists to encourage and strengthen that contribution, while helping churches build meaningful partnerships with others who share the hope of seeing their communities flourish.

We are proudly Christian and work openly and generously with people and organisations of all faiths and none for the common good.

What might be possible?

Sometimes local transformation begins with something as simple as a conversation, a group of people discovering that they share the same hope; a church recognising the gifts already present in its neighbourhood; a partnership choosing to work together instead of separately.

Our role is often to help create the conditions in which those things can happen.
